Science Club

Science club provides platform to learn science and technology related topics of interest and involve in science related projects and events. Last academic year, Science Club conducted ‘Malaria Dengue Awareness Program’, Quiz competition and Ramzan celebration among other events and activities in campus.

On 7 July, 2016 ‘Malaria Dengue Awareness Program’ was conducted to create awareness of Malaria and Dengue disease. The Jhatha started from VidyaRathna School till Belma Grama Panchayath with the banners & slogans prepared by the club members. Belma Grama Panchayath members Mr. Yusuf Bawa and Mr. Usman spoke about the prevention of spread of disease.

On 3rd August, 2016, Science Club conducted Quiz on Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam after the sudden demise of our nations beloved President and former chief rocket scientist. 2 teams from each class participated in a quiz containing questions about childhood, education, achievement and life of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The winners of the quiz were announced at the end of the competition and awarded prizes by School President Sri. K. Ravindra Shetty. The winners were Adarsha Subramanya Class 9A (1st prize), Vaishali Class 8A (2nd prize) and Chandan Kumar Shetty 10A (3rd prize)

Ramzan celebration was organized and conducted on 5th August, 2016 by Science Club. In addition to introducing the Islamic culture of annual fasting, Headmistress Mrs Naeem Hameed spoke about Ramzan celebration and its importance in life and society.

Last year Science Club conducted Science model Competition which saw participation by multiple teams of various classes participating and learning about science and demonstrating science experiments. Winners were announced at the end of competition and our School President Sri. K. Ravindra Shetty awarded prizes to winners.
